Friday, April 13th

On Friday, we checked out of the hotel and went over to Jason and Amanda's house. He showed us around and we met the cats, Smokey and Bandit. They were kind of afraid of us, and definately afraid of Dylan, but by the end of the trip warmed up to us. They have a very nice place with a pool. It was too cold to swim, but maybe the next time. We went to Claim Jumper restaurant for lunch that had HUGE portions. We split some soft pretzels, which Dylan liked. Todd and Jason ordered the chicken pot pies that came with fruit, mom and I had some chicken salads and I think my dad got a turkey dish. Dylan ate off of everyones plates and the waiter also gave him some fries. He loved those. We were too stuffed for any desert though.

After lunch we went to Ethel M chocolate factory. Can you say yummo...? They gave us samples and Dylan got two special chocolate coins. He was covered with chocolate by the end of the tour. Todd and Jason also bought some more chocolate for later. I enjoyed the chocolate covered carmel treat.

CHEESE

Cactus Garden:
We then strolled around to the cactus garden.

Dylan sat in the stroller for a little bit, but wanted to explore, so we let him out. Every few seconds a plane was either taking off or landing, so he loved seeing the planes. He would say something that sounded like airplane and point to the sky. We can now add airplane to his vocabulary.

Jason's office:

Jason's work was very close by, so we headed over there. Since we wanted to make a good impression, we changed Dylan's shirt because it was covered with chocolate. His staff was really nice and friendly. It was nice seeing Jason's office too and conference room. Of course, he had some KISS stuff in there. Would you expect anything less? I liked seeing his display of nic nacs too.

We drove by the outlet mall when we came in and I saw they had a Disney store, so I was all about going there. Jason was accomodating and said sounds good. At this point, Dylan was pretty tired. He didn't really have a nap, so he was ready to go. He saw a train that we put him on, but it was broken. Oh well, he enjoyed sitting on it and probably was thinking we were all crazy making noises and faces at him. Jason bought some cologne and a KISS frame that he had been eyeing. We bought Dylan some sunglasses and at the disney store he got a skull wristband and also a light up life saver. He was carrying around a tinkerbell wand, but Todd thought it was too girly. I guess it was, but he still looked cute in my eyes.

After the outlet store, we started to get hungry, so we went to a nice Mexican restaurant called Guadalajara. It was so good.... Mom and I split our meals because we were still stuffed from lunch. Dylan ate chips and dipped the chips in salsa. He also had his milk. He wasn't interested in anything else. After dinner we went back to Jason and Amandas house. We weren't quite ready to go to sleep, so mom stayed with Dylan who fell asleep and we went gambling. Grandma Grace was a trooper... thank you for babysitting mom. Jason was the big winner. He was playing poker and we played black jack. Todd won on the slot machines, but what he won, I lost playing blackjack. Easy come and easy go as they say. When we got back mom said she didn't really sleep because she was worried about Dylan rolling around so much and didn't want him to fall off the bed. Right before she was ready to get out of bed and go in her room, he literally rolled over her and pushed her out the bed. It was kind of funny.
