Fun weekend

On Sunday, we got ready to head to Todd's sisters baby shower. It was really nice how they did it. It was a couples shower/swim party. When everyone arrived, we had lunch and then when it was time to open up gifts and play games, the guys went down to the pool area.

Heather got a lot of nice things and let me just say little girl outfits are soooo adorable. Lucky for me, I have 2 boys, otherwise I would be out of control. Gavin stayed with the girls and he was a big hit.

After the gift opening, I was curious to see if Todd and Dylan were in the pool.

They sure were and boy oh boy, were they having fun. Dylan does not have any fear and was jumping in and even would go under. Grandpa Dolphin and Todd showed him how to doggy paddle and they were showing him the back float too. I'm so happy he loves the water.

6 month checkup

Can you believe it, our little peanut is 6 months already. We took him in for his appointment and he is so tiny. He weighs 15 lbs (10%) and is 26 1/4 " long (50%) and his head is 43 cm (25%). Seriously, Dylan was 16 lbs at 3 months and never ate. Gavin is exploring, cooing, clicking, scooting, and almost sitting up. Dylan is such a great big brother. He actually wanted to go with me yesterday to get Gavin's shot. He held his hands and said it will be ok. It was a Kodak moment. When we got home, he helped me give him medicine and feed his bottle.

adorable adorable adorable

I just love the way babies sleep. Gavin of course is care free and sleeps with his hands behind his head and his feet crossed. It just cracks me up everytime.

I'm Batman

On Monday, it was jammie day at daycare. This is Dylan's favorite day at school and of course we totally forgot about it. Once we got to his classroom, Dylan was horrified and asked where his jammies were. So, I said I would quick run and get a pair. He asked for Superman, but I said I would run to Target and get some Batman ones. He sure was happy about that. What a relief they had them there.

Easter

We had such a great Easter this year. On Saturday, we went to Fred's to get Todd and Dylan's haircut. It was nice seeing him and also getting a much needed haircut for Dylan. He really likes going to Fred. Afterwards, he gave him a cookie for being such a good boy.

We headed over to Denny/Maxines after we left Fred's for an Easter brunch. We had egg caserole and some cinnamon rolls. It was sooooo good. We of course had to burn off calories, so we decided to do the Easter egg hunt outside.
I must say, Austin did a great job hiding the eggs. Dylan and Carter were really into it. Avery had a fun time too. We went out for dinner at the Ground Round and met up with my parents. The kids behaved so well and it was nice seeing Austin's dad too. Later that night, we all played cards and stayed up talking.

On Easter morning, we went to 11am church. I would love to say our kids did well at church, but that wasn't the case. Thank goodness, church was packed, so we were in the cry room. Dylan did great, but Gavin cried a lot. He is teething and he wouldn't take the bottle. Anyway, after the Tylenol kicked in, he was back to his normal happy self. We went over to my parents after church for another Easter egg hunt. I think the "Easter Bunny" hid 22 eggs or something like that.
My dad could tell you the exact number- wink wink. My mom made an awesome Easter dinner with ham, potato caserole, salad, fruit salad, and strawberrys/ice cream with angel food cake. My grandma came down for dinner and then my aunt and uncle stopped over for a visit. The Easter bunny also made a visit to Grandma and Grandpa Stoffels. Dylan was greeted with a basket full of candy and a Spiderman kite. Gavin also had a basket full of candy and some soft blocks. I'm sure we will be eating candy for weeks =) The only thing missing from Easter was Andi and Troy and family and also Jason, Amanda and Chelsea.

Dylan and Todd went down to get their haircut from Todd's uncle Fred. Dylan sat so good and he has a big boy haircut.

Superman

As you all know, Dylan is really into Superman, Batman, and Spiderman right now, so these jammies were perfect. Seriously, every night he wants to wear them.

Easter egg coloring

This year was a lot of fun coloring Easter eggs. Dylan really seemed to enjoy it. I honestly love doing it too. I think his favorite egg was the one we wrote his name on. Gavin just sat there and watched us in his highchair playing with his toy.
