Merry Christmas

Hello everyone-
We wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I woke up and was surprised to see all the Santa's gifts under the tree. We sure must have all been good. I can't wait to see Dylan's face when he wakes up. I'll post more pictures later. I'm going to try to catch a few more z's.

Pictures of our christmas trees. This year, we bought a real one and also put up the artificial one. I just LOVE seeing the lights.

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

It is supposed to snow up to 10 inches tonight. We will see... If it does, I'm keeping the kids home with me. We've been taking it pretty easy all week. Dylan has been my little helper and has only been to the daycare on Monday. That is insane, but I have to admit he seems a lot happier being home. He is such a good brother and is so loving towards Gavin too.

We made cookies today. Dylan frosted all them and put sprinkles on by himself. He sure does have a sweet tooth. The sad thing is I have developed one now too.

lazy day

After we picked Dylan up from his High School today, we lounged around watching cartoons. Check out the little guys.

snow snow and more snow

Boy it sure snowed today. I think we have 5 inches so far. Tonight was the first time Todd used his snow blower. Its sad to say, but this is the first time we can remember (8 years) where we had to get snow scrapers, shuvels, snow blower, and boots. The snow is pretty when it comes down, but its so cold. This morning is was zero degrees with a 13 below wind shield. Tomorrow is supposed to be colder. YUK

Happy Birthday Todd and Troy

Happy 36th Birthday Todd and Troy...

We woke up and we had balloons and presents waiting for Todd. I planned on making french toast and bacon, but I didn't have a chance, so.... Todd cooked his birthday breakfast for us. It was really good, but I felt bad. We got him several Hawkeye items and also a new book to read. Later in the day we took the kids to see Santa and go to the dinosaur exhibit. Dylan was pretty excited to see Santa and was not scared at all. In fact, when we were leaving the mall, he asked if he could say bye to Santa. We said sure and he ran right up to him and gave him a hug. Luckily they were closing down and there wasn't a line otherwise I think people would have went nuts. Below are some pictures. Also, I've attached a letter from Santa. My friend Judy has some connections =)

woke up on the wrong side of the bed

Did I tell you that I hate cold weather and the snow? Well, it snowed for the first time on Sunday and guess what??? I went in the ditch. My tires were bald, so I'm chalking it up to that. Well, the next day we got new snow tires, so all should be good right? WRONG... I got stuck in the driveway yesterday and today I was sliding around the streets. I'm telling you, its going to be a long winter. I really miss Alabama weather right about now.

Oh yeah, and to top it all off. When I dropped Dylan off at the daycare the kids were all playing outside. So, I looked for his boots and they weren't there. I asked one of the workers and she didn't know, so she called the head teacher. She came in with another kid and they put Dylan's boots on someone else because they didn't have boots.... hello... I was so ticked off. One, Dylan has never worn them before and two, they didn't even ask.

pictures of the family

We got our picturs taken while Jason, Amanda and Chelsea were back. The kids did a great job and we were actually all on time. That is a first for Todd and I. Usually its craziness trying to get everyone out of the house. Below is a preview of some of the pictures. I really like the candid ones that Amanda took. As soon as she sends them to me, I'll post them too.

shopping

Did anyone do the day after Thanksgiving shopping? Well, we did... we literally took it to the extreme. We left the house at 4:30 am and didn't get home until 12 hours later. We had a fun time and got some great deals though. Its always nice to end the day with some soup and salad at Olive Garden too.
