We slept in on Saturday. We all got ready because we met up with Amanda and the two kids she was watching, Jacob and Madison. We went to Black Bear diner for brunch. It was sooo great and also very kid friendly. I was surprised how many restaurants in vegas did cater to kids. All the restaurants had crayons and something to color on. I think Dylan enjoyed sitting next to Madison. During brunch, Amanda and Madison left so they could put her down for a nap and then go pick up Jacob from a birthday party. We met up with them later at Red Rock Canyon.
While they were doing their thing, we decided to go to Circus Circus. What a great place to take kids. We really enjoyed watching the acrobatic display. Those women sure had muscles. I was amazed how their stomach and bach muscles were so defined. Dylan enjoyed watching them perform and also watching the clowns.

Jason sure got the best uncle award that day, he won Dylan so many stuffed animals and also a really neat pillow that says Circus Circus Las Vegas, NV on it. We used that on the flight home. It sure came in handy. Todd won a lion for Dylan and I won a bear. He sure is a lucky boy. Grandpa Stoffel was taking lots of pictures too, so that was very nice. They just got a new digital camera for mom's birthday. There was also an artist there that did picture letters, so I asked him to do one for Dolphin. It turned out great. I just need to get it matted and framed now.
After Circus Circus, we met Amanda, Jacob and Madison at Red Rock. It was a great site to see.

We got out of the SUV and stopped and then would drive down to the next spot. We let Dylan sit on Grandpa's lap during those quick trips... shhh don't tell DMV. Mom and I were so worried Dylan wouldn't get back in his carseat after site seeing, but he did. I think the Baby Einstein video helped. We literally had that playing the entire time in the van... sorry everyone. =)

After seeing the Red Rocks, we went over to look at Amanda's office. It is very nice. Amanda and her partner have very nice offices. I really liked their catchy sign. HR really stood out.

While we were there, Dad and Todd noticed the toilet water was running. They were going to fix it, but Amanda called maintenance. We planned on meeting up with her later, but it just didn't work out. She had to go back to the kids place for their grandpa to pick them up and we had to catch our flight. Hopefully next time we will get to see more of Aunt Amanda. We treasured the time we did see her though.
We went to the Venetian after seeing Amanda's office. WOW, what a place to see. We went by the shops/boutiques and gondola. It was very nice to see. Dylan liked watching the "boats" and hear the singing.

He cried when we left, but then we went past some music and then to the "statue." It really wasn't a statue, but it sure looked like it was. The person wore all white and was painted in white. Every now and then you would see his eyes move or a thumbs up when he got a tip. Todd and Dylan went up close and personal to him. He didn't know what to think...

By this time, it started to get late and we needed to pack up and get ready for the airport. We picked up some Chinese at the Panda Express and ate at Jason and Amanda's. That worked out great. Dylan was able to play with the cats more, or should I say chase them around. We then downloaded pictures from the trip and visited, which was nice.

We definately took some pictures, I have posted all the pictures on the left side of the blog directly under the airplane in the section called Vegas Pictures We Took ...
We were really sad to leave, but anxious to get back home. We had a nice visit and can not wait to see everyone again. Most likely we will be back for a visit to Iowa this summer. We will be back to Vegas next year for sure. My conference is the end of March next year, so maybe then.
Thanks again for a great Vegas vacation!
