Happy Birthday to me...

Well, another year has passed and I can not believe that I am now 33 years old. My parents came down on Saturday and we planned on painting the basement, but got a late start and decided to just do some things around the yard and then relax for the evening. We did get Happy Joes pizza, so that is good. On Sunday, Todd just felt so terrible. He had symptoms of the flu and his temperature was pretty consistent around 102 degrees. He was in bed all day. He did come out to wish me a happy birthday and give me my gift. He surprised me with a set of golf clubs. I have only golfed a few times before, but I want to get into it, so it was very nice.

Mom and dad surprised me with a birthday cake and they made a nice breakfast for us. Dylan was all about the happy birthday song and eating happy cake.

Later that day we played outside. Grandpa put up Dylan's swing and he was very happy about it. This was also his first time going down the slide at our place and loved that too.

Happy Birthday Maxine

Happy Birthday Maxine!!!

Wow, its hard to imagine that June is almost over. We have been here almost a full month. I am finally feeling settled. We have the house pretty close to being done. We still need to organize the garage and remove some wallpaper and paint, but other than that it looks good. Anyone is welcome to stop by at anytime. We love visitors.

We are having a .....

BOY...
I was so shocked when we found out it was a boy. I thought for sure it was a girl. He is measuring on target and from the measurements, they are thinking November 1st due date. Everything looks good and he has 10 fingers and 10 toes. Todd made a funny comment and said doesn't he look like me? It will be interesting to see who he resembles though. Dylan is all Todd right now.

I started to unpack some of Dylan's blankets and his old baby bedding. Dylan was mommys little helper and wanted to also go in the crib. He wanted to be the baby. I'll try scanning in some of the pictures and hopefully they turn out. If they do, I'll post them.

can't catch a break

Well, Todd was out mowing the grass last night and guess what.... well, he got stung by a bee in his eye. It was a little swollen last night, but today it looks like he was in a fight. His left eye is almost completely closed shut. I'll have to post a picture tonight so you can see what I mean. Poor guy... he also still hasn't passed his kidney stone yet.

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there. We saw both sets of parents and it was nice being only an hour away.

I went to the daycare to drop Dylan off and they made the cutest fathers day frame with his picture in it. I'll put it on the counter today and have Dylan give it to Todd. I'm sure he will be very happy about that.

UPDATE ON DAYCARE-
Dylan didn't cry when we initially got there, but when I left he was crying a lot. I'm hoping this gets better. I'll probably pick him up around 5 today and see how he did. I like the teachers there, I just don't know any of the names yet.

flight delays...

Go figure my flight was delayed. I wasn't going to be able to get out tonight on my original flight, so I had them reschedule. I get in late tonight, but at least I get in tonight. My parents are going to come up Saturday night and stay until Sunday, so that will be nice.

UPDATE:
Well, I was able to get in last Friday night, but they lost my luggage. They said they would deliver it to the house the next day. Well, I waited and waited and no luggage. Then they said it would be late that evening. So, I called the airport and had them change the address to Todd's parents house. They were supposed to drop it off last night and never did. The luggage did come today though, so I'm happy about that.

Flooding...

Well it has been non stop rain since we have moved here. A lot of places have flooded. Luckily our house is ok, but it sure isn't fun. The National Weather Service called flooding in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a "historic hydrologic event" Thursday as the swollen river poured over its banks at 500-year flood levels, forcing the evacuation of nearly 4,000 homes. I'm hoping that I'll be able to fly back tomorrow and everything will be ok.

Park pictures from Alabama... Can you dig it?

One of the last fun things we did in Alabama was go to the park with Dylan's friends and have a picnic. We had a blast!!! The kids enjoyed going down the slides, swings and also playing some baseball. We sure miss everyone.

all these changes

Today is Dylan's first day at his new daycare. He did not want me to leave and he said I want to go in Dylan's carseat. It just broke my heart. I'm sure hoping he does good today.

Last night we had to run Todd to the ER. He has been having some major back pain and then he said the pain was unbearable by his kidney. Well, guess what he had a kidney stone. He hasn't passed it yet, but on the CT, it showed that it was only
3mm. I said now you know what its like to give birth. He is home this moring resting and he said the pain comes and goes. Poor thing...

Birthday, Birthday and Birthday (x's 3)

We had a great weekend celebrating Keagan, Kade and McKenna's birthday. Angie/Curt came to visit with us on Thursday and Denny and Maxine came down on Friday. We all left here on Saturday and headed to Kade's baseball game and then the birthday celebration. Afterwards, we went to Keagan's exciting game. It was fun watching him play. We spent the night and really enjoyed seeing everyone again.

Happy Birthday to Curt

New home and also happy birthday Kenna

Thank you to Andi, Troy, Keagan, Kade, and McKenna for the really cute welcome home cookie by design.

We finally made it

We made it here! It took two full days for the movers to load up our stuff and then they didn't get here until several days later.

New hot rod

Dylan just got his new set of wheels today. We will be putting the Diego bike together tonight and I'm sure he will just love it.
