Friday night was a very low key night. We planned on going to watch the firworks around 9, but Dylan had already fell asleep, so we didn't go. We heard them go off though. I'm sure there will be plenty of other times to see them.
Saturday Dylan and I went for a nice walk and went to a few garage sales in the neighborhood. We found some great deals. We bought two booster seats at our first one. Granted, we didn't really need them, but I figured another one would come in handy with any of Dylan's friends/cousins visiting. The other one, we will give to Suzette and Michael for Rachel. They were planning on getting a new one for their trip to the beach. We've already tested it out on Rachel and she likes it. I also found a tricycle and several trucks, trains, cars, etc. for him to play with. My biggest purchase was a
glider. I've been looking for a very nice one with cherry stain and I didn't want to pay full price for it. After our walk, I planned on going to get
my phone replaced... I'll tell you about that in just a bit. Anyway, as soon as we got out of the subdivision, Dylan fell asleep. I decided to just drive around instead of going back home. So, I went through a few new subdivisions, and I just happened to drive by a sale that had a lot of baby/toddler things. I kept the car going, rolled down his window and got out of the car. The glider is real wood and has a cherry stain in excellent condition. The cushions are baby blue, so I haven't decided if I'm going to replace that yet or not since it doesn't "go" with the color scheme in our living room. I could always switch out my pillows though and have a new color palate. I love brown, tan and blue together, so that might just work out. I guess we need to decide wehre to put it, my vote is the livign room, but Todd might opt for the basement. If we put it in the living room though, we will need to do some rearranging. Right now we still have Dylan's pack-n-play up. We only use this when we change him and it does come in handy.
About my phone... right before our walk, I let Dylan have it and it dropped on the floor. Most of the time, the battery just comes apart and then you clip it back on and its fine. Well, this time, it cracked the phone... I guess one to many drops. I was planning on getting a new one anyway because I could never get a connection in the house. We have bettere luck with Sanyo phones. So, after Dylan woke up from his nap, we went to Radio Shack for a new phone. I was going to go to the Sprint store, but its always so busy. I orinally wanted the blue phone, but they didn't have it in stock and I didn't want the black one. The sales person said they had some at the mall that I could swing by and get if I would like. She told me the colors and I was interested in the pink one... Yeah, I know girly right? Well, its not really pink or at least it doesn't scream out pink. The color is cherry blossum and its a metalic pink.

I love it... I've only used it a few times and I haven't tested out all the features yet, so that will be fun. The bad thing is I've lost all the numbers I had stored. The associate thought if I went to the Sprint store they might be able to transfer my numbers over. We will see... I'll probably try that when I get back from my work trip. I'll be in Texas this week, but back on Thursday.
