Fun weekend
We had a great weekend with our family. It originally started out that Andi/Troy and kids were coming. Well, that quickly changed. Angie and Curt just bought a new house and they wanted to take a look at it. Of cours we all did too, so that meant Denny and Maxine were coming up too. Curt wanted some suggestions on what they could do when finishing the basement. So, it started out with 5 people and turned in to 12 people spending the night. It all worked out though. We ordered in on Saturday night and just lounged. We loved watching Kenna and Dylan cut a rug...

Weekend fun
We had a really nice family packed weekend. On Thursday, Dylan and I came to Dubuque to visit with my aunts and my cousin Keri. She was back home visiting from California and it was so nice to see her. Dylan enjoyed Happy Joes pizza and chalking Grandpa Stoffel's pool stick. On Saturday we drove back to Dubuque to get Todd and Dylan's haircut and then we went to Music in the Park. Dylan was so good getting his hair cut too. There was a long line of people waiting to see Fred and he sat patiently playing with his cars. He also met a new friend called T.J. After the haircut, we picked upmy dad and went to the Music in the Park. We planned on meeting my friend Shelby and her family there, but we didn't see them. Denny/Maxine and Ang/Curt met us there and we had a fun time. While we waited for them, we headed to get some ice cream and then ventured off to get Dylan's face painted. He was excited about that and wanted stars on his face like his space room.
After face painting, we went to the petting zoo. Dylan liked all the animals, but was a little scared when they all came up to him because they wanted food. Dylan threw down the food and wanted to be held.
Dylan and Carter noticed the inflatables, and really wanted to go bounce. Carter was really in to it. Dylan liked it after he got used to it.
They also enjoyed going down the slide and Dylan for some reason liked hanging on the pole...

Look at my shades...
After the park, we went over to my parents house and looked at their garden of flowers. WOW, can we say amazing. It looks like a beautiful park back there. Dylan and Maxine enjoyed putting their feet in the water and listening to the waterfall too.
Later that night, we sat outside by the campfire and ate smores. YUMMY...
The next day, we had two baby showers to go to. Dylan was Grandma S's helper. He really liked putting the bows on the gifts.
Dylan was very excited to go to the parties and have "happy cake." Everytime he sees cake, he thinks it someones birthday. I should have taken a picture of him, he had frosting all over his face. We did get a picture of Stacy's little one though

Happy 4th of July

We hope everyone had a very HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!
We went to Dubuque for the weekend and had a very nice time celebrating with our family. We got in on the 3rd and I was still feeling crummy with the stomach virus, but I managed to get through it. The fireworks were really great this year. We watched them with Denny, Maxine, Heather, Jason and their friends. Dylan thought they were great.
The next day we went to the Bellevue parade. It was so nice.
I really liked seeing all the old tractors and to see their whole community get into it.
Grandmas honey???

Hi Angie...
The kids waiting patiently for the candy and had a bucket with a bullseye.
They got a lot of candy and cheese sticks.
Afterwards, Angie's aunt invited us over to her house for a barbeque. YUMMY food... She had enough to feed everyone in town. Dylan and I were so tired on the way home that we fell asleep in the car and then took a nap for a few hours.
Can you imagine what I thought this one said?

The next day mom and I went baby shopping for my cousin and his girlfriends baby gifts. We are doing a group gift, so that is fun. We also went to Kohls and I looked at some maternity clothes. I bought two really cute shirts and a pair of shorts. Angie, Curt and family came up and we played the bean bag games and later Heather, Jason and Austin came over and we did fireworks.
Of course, Todd still wasn't feeling well, so we ended up taking him in to Acute Care on Sunday.
Poor thing... He is hoping to get in to a GI doctor this week. We got home around 5 and he slept the whole evening and didn't wake up until this morning. I sure hope he feels better today.
