Happy Birthday to me...

Well, my birthday has come and gone. It was a very nice day. We opted not to do date night and do a family gathering at Happy Joes instead... oh so good. Angie/Curt and kids met us there for pizza and yummy cake. Then, Todd and Dylan washed my SUV when we got home. That sure was a nice surprise.

DBQ again...

We went to Dubuque again this past weekend. We came back on Saturday and hung around at the Dolphins. We prepared food for the Pfab "Christmas" reunion and then we watched the guys swim with the kiddos. Later that night my parents came over and we had a bon fire.

The next morning, Todd and Dylan went to Austin's soccer game. Unfortunately they lost, but they had fun.
Then, we were off to Bernard for the Pfab party. It was a great time; good food, good company and good games.

Maxine was very happy it all went well and the kids had a fun time. My favorite part to watch was the kids running with their baloon to the chair and had to sit on it, pop it and run back.

It was fun watching the kids pick out their toys too after they won the game. In the end, each kid got at least one toy. =)

After the kids games, the adults decided to play some baseball or at least try. Really it was just everyone rotating and hitting the ball. Well, it was my turn up to bat and guess what happened???? No, I actually hit the ball and it was pretty respectable, HOWEVER... I didn't even make it to first base. Let me preface by saying I had the wrong shoes on. Well, you can imagine, I somehow tripped on my flip flops, rolled my ankle and fell flat on my face. It was a site to see I'm sure. I even have the injury to prove it. =)

Bad storm

We had a bad storm on Tuesday. It actually knocked down a limb off our willow tree. I was ok with that since I don't really like it, but Todd does. We did plan on taking it down anyway when we extend the garage for Todd's woodworking area. After the nasty storm there was a pretty rainbow. We took a few shots, but it looked a lot prettier in person.

Dylan also sang his rainbow song that I'll try capturing for you.
song:
red, orange, yelow, green, blue, purple, that makes the rainbow bright, bright, bright. We just love that little guy.

summer days

Dylan really wasn't excited about getting his picture taken, but I said PLEASE>... he just wanted to jump in grandma and grandpa's pool. We got this little body suit with a floater in it and he loves it. It makes him feel secure in the water. He is learning how to kick, use his arms and also jump in the water. The great thing is, he does not have a fear of the water.

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the daddy's and grandpas out there.

Todd you are an amazing dad to our kids. We love you very much!!!

Boys will be boys

Just a few cute pictures of the boys playing around. Its so fun to watch them. Dylan sure is a great big brother and loves to tickle Gavin like no other.

Kernals baseball game

Smile and say cheese. Dylan and me were messing around taking pictures before the game.

We went to the Kernal's baseball game on Thursday and had a blast. We were invited by the bank and we had box seats, which was excellent. They provided food, drinks, and good company. The Kernal's won, but I think Todd would say the highlight of the game was watching the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Dylan had fun snapping pictures, but I didn't get any of the Cheerleaders- darn

shhh... baby sleeping. This was Gavin's first game and he slept through most of it.

DSM trip

We had a very nice time visiting Andi, Troy, Keagan, Kade, and McKenna 2 weekends ago. Since the kids have birthdays around the same time, they did a combined birthday party and it was so much fun. We were able to come down, Denny, Maxine, Austin, Angie, Curt and kids. It was nice because we were also able to see a few of Keagan's baseball games.
He is such a great ball player and one of his leagues they were undefeated.

We enjoyed spending time with one another and catching up. The kids really enjoyed playing the wii, having dance party/karoke, and sleeping in the tent in the living room. Of course the only one that made it through the whole night was Kader Tador.

Happy 10th Birthday Keagan!!!!!

Happy birthday to our nephew Keagan who turns 10 today. We are so excited to see him this weekend for the combined birthday party. Also, we can't wait to see him play baseball at his tournament. Since we are NEVER early for anything, we plan on going to his afternoon game. Most likely, we won't leave here on time to make his 10am game. I'll post pictures after the weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR KEAGAN, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.

Hi Kader tador =)

Dentist

Dylan did a great job at his first dentist appointment. He did a great job laying back on the chair and letting the dentist count his teeth and the technician clean them and take x-rays. We made a tooth necklace for him to wear to the dentist and the girls LOVED it. They took a picture of him too, which was pretty cute.

busy, busy and busy

We had a very nice weekend. On Friday, it was Curt's birthday, so we went over there for their party. The kids played outside and had a blast. When it got dark, we all went down to Ang/Curt's new bar and the kids hung out in the basement. It was a lot of fun. The only thing missing, was seeing Andi/Troy. The great thing is, we will see them this weekend though.

On Saturday, we went to my cousin Kyle's graduation party. It was soooo cold. Seriously, it was in the 50s. Todd and I were not dressed for it, but luckily I did have a jean jacket for me in the car. The kids had sweatshirts on and I had a blanket around Gavin. Poor Todd was in short sleeves and had blue lips. The kids were sooo good and Gavin even had a little ice cream treat. Those grandpa's sure like being sweet to their grandsons =)

Dylan had a blast on the playground going down the slides, swings and also playing in the sand. I think his favorite thing was being the keg boy. RELAX>>.. it was a keg of root beer, but he loved it. He was great at making rootbeer floats too. We also went down by the river and that was pretty neat.

Later we went over to Todd's parents house. We hung around outside and played basketball, watched Dylan ride his bike and also went for a walk. Denny was dog sitting the neighbors so we all went down there and walked around the neighborhood. When we got back, we played on the computer and I showed Denny/Maxine how to upload pictures on Craig's list. Grandpa was a favorite that night. Gavin fell asleep on him and he also gave Dylan some cookies. How sweet...
We also enjoyed Maxine's taco dip and chocolate covered strawberries.

The next morning, they did chickens and I stayed home with the kids and Austin. We met them for lunch when they were done. It was nice seeing Fred and Marienne too. After lunch, we went over to Austins, so Dylan could jump on the trampoline. He had a blast. We even had Gavin on it for a little bit.

Then, we went swimming at Grandpa Dolphin's house. Man oh man, was that nice. The water was really warm. Gavin was in for a little bit, but then he got tired, so Maxine cradled him. I think she enjoyed that. Todd, Austin, Dylan, Denny and me stayed in the pool. Dylan really loved it. As it started to get cooler, we decided to go inside and Denny/Maxine grilled out. We also wanted to go over to my parents house, so after dinner we packed up and went over there. It was still light out, so we went to the duck pond. Dylan LOVED feeding them. It was pretty cute. We also had his bike with us because he wanted to show grandma and grandpa. It was fun watching him ride around...

SMILE Todd..

It started to get cooler, so we went over to mom/dads for strawberry shortcake. No wonder the lbs are hard to come off. I feel we are constantly eating, but it was so good. Dylan tried the strawberries, but didn't like them. He did like the ice cream though.

We stayed for a few hours and headed back home. It was rainy a lot, but I didn't mind it. I think its pretty cool looking at the lightening. All in all, a great weekend. Next week, we are heading to DSM for the Keagan/Kade/McKenna's combined birthday. We also plan on seeing one of Keagan's baseball games too. I'm looking forward to it =)
