He is such a good eater

Well, I love the fact Gavin likes all the baby foods we have introduced him to so far. He gobbled up the green beans and peas, which surprised us. He really likes the carrots, and squash, but isn't too sure about the sweet potatoes. I'll keep working on that. Yesterday was the first day he had those, so I'll let you know how day 5 goes. He also does a good job eating cereal too. The only thing that we haven't been successful at yet is sleeping through the night. He is still getting up twice, so that isn't fun for me. He is so cute though when he wakes up, so I can't complain to much. I love that he has found his little voice.

We plan on visiting the grandparents over Easter. It will be nice seeing them. Dylan is really excited to see Grandpa and Grandma Stoffel's back yard. He is convinced he will see ducks there. I'm not sure about that, but it will be fun watching him explore.

it snowed in March

Can you believe it, it snowed AGAIN. I think we only got 4 inches, but still. I had fun watching Dyland and Todd outside. Dylan liked to make snow angels and shovel. Of course, I didn't get any pictures of him making the snow angels though- DARN... We saw my friend Michele on Saturday and had a nice visit. She brought over her two kids, Gannon and Paige. Dylan is the same age as Gannon and they played well. Paige is just over a year and is cute as can be. They will be back in town in April and we look forward to seeing them. We are actually planning on the adults going out for dinner, so that will be nice.

What you talkin' about Willis?

This is such a funny picture of Gavin. Its like he is saying, "what you talkin' about willis?

He sure does like his Baby Einstein. Dylan used to love being in it too, so its fun seeing what Gavin likes to play with.

Grandma Wolfs birthday

Wow, we sure have been busy. I haven't posted lately because I just haven't had the time to. My aunt Rita from Colorado cam in town on the 12th and we had a nice time. She spent the night on Thursday and my parents also came down. I think they were going through withdrawel from the kids =) That weekend we went to Dubuque for my Grandma's 84th birthday party. It was nice seeing all my aunts/uncles, cousins, spouses, new kids, etc. My cousin Audra had her baby in December, so it was neat seeing Gavin and him together. They are about the same size. Honestly, Rowan might be a little bigger. Saturday night we all met at the hotel and had Happy Joes pizza. I seriously can not get enough of that. We spent the night with Todd's family that night and saw Andi, Troy, Keagan, Kade and McKenna. We had fun hanging out with them.
Keagan helped me make fruit pizza and he knows my secret ingredient. He was such a helper. The next morning, we got up and Denny and Maxine made a nice breakfast. I held back because I knew we would be eating at the party. We made it on time... hmmm, I wonder if they told us the wrong time because we would have been late otherwise. We all had fun, but Dylan really wanted to spend some time outside, so we left after a few hours. We spent the night on Sunday night and we enjoyed playing cards. Its been awhile since we played hearts, so that was a lot of fun.

On Monday, Todd drove to Manchester from Dubuque and I took the day off. We all went for a walk around the neighborhood and hung outside. It was a beautiful day.

Andi/Troy had to get back to DSM for baseball practice, so they left in the afternoon. Todd's parents made panzarratti that night- oh so yummy and some seasoned beef for Dylan, but he wasn't interested. We were exhausted when we got home.

Dylan's school picture

Dylan had his school pictures taken, but the printing lab messed up the pictures. They only printed one of each child and didn't print out all the class pictures. This is Dylan's picture we received, but there were more taken, so I'll scan them in. The class picture turned out great. I don't know how they were able to get all the kids to smile, but they did. Dylan is in the back row literally posing for the picture. He sure is a funny little guy.

Bad blogger lately

I just realized I have not posted in awhile. We have been pretty busy lately. We've either been over at Ang/Curts or having friends and family in town. Last weekend our friends from Kansas City came to visit us and we had a nice visit. We saw them exactly a year ago when we closed on the house.

They got in on Friday night, so we ordered pizza, caught up on things, and watched Dylan dance. On Saturday, we had a nice breakfast and then Raman and Kristi met up with her brother for lunch. Afterwards, they decided to go to the Amanas. I figured I had a few hours before they came back, so I decided to enjoy the day and go for a walk with Gavin.

When we got back, I had a lot of energy and decided to strip down the wallpaper in the master bathroom. My upstairs bathroom only took 5 minutes to come down, so I figured it would be the same... NOT. What a challenge... Needless to say, I am not finished with it yet. Hopefully I will work on it throughout the week so I can start painting.

When they got back we decided to go out for Mexican- oh so yummy. They all had marjaritas. I really wanted one, but I can't quite yet since I am still nursing and I didn't have enough milk pumped out for Gavin. Oh well, it was still fun. We stayed up pretty late with them talking and then we watched a movie. I fell asleep early and when I woke up, I looked around and Kristi was out too.

Silly Silly Dylan

Dylan is such a cheeseball.

Tanmay's Birthday Party

On Saturday we went to Dylan's friends birthday party. It was at the PlayStation, and it was our first time there. Todd was with him the majority of the time climbing thru tunnels and going down the slides. I was with Gavin watching all the entertainment. At the end, I did help Todd out and go thru the tunnels and slides with Dylan. I think Todd was hurting and ran out of steam. Next year, Gavin will definately want in on that action, so I'm thankful he isn't mobile just yet. I'm telling you what, I was watching some of the dads there, losing control trying to keep up with their kids. Dylan really likes birthday parties even though he wasn't that interested in the "happy cake" this time. I think its because it was chocolate and he loves the white kind. Isn't that strange? He did like singing happy birthday to him. I wish I had that on video. Todd and I enjoyed meeting new people and I was very surprised there were more dads at the party then the moms. After the party, we were ready for naps. I think only Gavin took a nap though.
