Baby on the way

Yes, we have some news.... Dylan is going to be a big brother. I'm 10 weeks right now and am feeling pretty good. I'm more tired with this one and have been experiencing "evening" sickness.

half way moved in

We are up in Iowa this week getting the house painted and organized. Our POD arrived on Tuesday and we had it unloaded the same day. Troy stopped over last night and helped tear down wall paper and paint. What a huge help. We are definately making some progress and it is feeling like our own. Curt, Angie and kids came the following day and helped us tear down more wall paper and paint the office. When we left, we had removed the wall paper from the guest bedroom, powder room and laundry room. We painted the dining room, office, powder room, laundry room, baby's room, and spare bedroom. Needless to say, our vacation wasn't too relaxing but we did get a lot accomplished. Thank you so much for all of your help especially to my parents who were there all week.

I'll send some before and after pictures.

Dylan's movie theatre experience

Well, on Sunday we went to Dylan's first movie, The BEE movie. I'm sure glad we went to the dollar theatre. He fell asleep half way through it. It was an ok movie, but definately not my favorite.

After the movie, Todd went back to work to open up mail and get caught up on paperwork, so I decided to take Dylan to the park. He went down the slide a few times, but had more fun playing in the creek, going over the bridge, and throwing in his bee in the creek and trying to get it out. After all that excitement, we took a walk at the park and he enjoyed throwing the leaves up in the air and putting them on his head. What a funny little boy.

My favorite show

Is anyone watching Lipstick Jungle out there? I absolutely love it. It reminds me a little of Sex and the City and I loved that. Speaking of, the movie should be coming out May 30th. I can't wait to see it. Has anyone seen the trailor

Happy Birthday J-bird

Can you believe it, its already St. Patricks day? Also, its Jason's birthday. I sure hope he had a great weekend celebrating.

Box full of joy...

Dylan has been our little helper when it comes to packing and helping mark the boxes. As you can see, this is a special package courtesy of Mr. Dylan.

I'm not sure if he is flipping off the camera, but if he is, sorry to offend anyone.

video games...

Playstation 2 anyone

When we got home from the Cottontail Express, Robert was over at our house playing vide

o games with Todd. Of course, Dylan wanted to play too. Good job guys

Cottontail Express

We hopped aboard a ride to the Peter Cottontail's meadow in Calera on the Cottontail Express with some of Dylan's friends. We rode on the cho cho train and then met up with Easter bunny and had an Easter egg hunt. You were limited to 5 eggs. Dylan of course snagged 5 right away, but no golden egg for Dylan. His friend Laci and Drew did and they won a stuffed animal and an Easter basket full of goodies. Dylan waived to the Easter bunny, but did not want to give him a hug or stand in line for a picture. Maybe next year....

We were singing, "here comes Peter Cottontail..." and he is still talking about his train ride.

Mommy, I sure had a fun time...

Park Pictures

These pictures were taken a few weeks ago when we had a showing on the house. We had a few hours to kill, so we went to our favorite place... the PARK> This day was so cold... Dylan didn't mind though.

I am sleep deprived....

Daylight savings came early this year! This means we now have an extra hour of daylight. Spring is right around the corner and I can hardly wait. I'm hoping by the time we move it will be warm up in Iowa.

Dylan is a little off with his schedule right now too. We put him down for his nap late, he went to bed late, woke up around 8am, and then he transitioned into his new room at school. He just cried and cried when I dropped him off today. Poor thing. They mentioned I could bring his favorite toy or a stuffed animal to help him feel a little more comforted. Poor thing. Last week he threw up because he had worked himself up so much. I'm sure hoping today went better.

Offer fell through...

Well, we have some bad news, the offer fell through. It was a younger couple who made the offer and they decided it just wasn't the right home and god didn't want them to have it.... WHATEVER... anyway, we had a showing on Saturday and the couple is interested and we had an open house on Sunday. There were 4 couples that came through and 3 of them have interest. Our realator also got a call yesterday on the home, so keep your fingers crossed.

My computer is getting fixed, so I haven't been able to blog lately. As soon as I get it back, I'll post some recent pictures.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Todd and I are not really into Valentines Day. Sometimes we do fun stuff and other times we don't. I mentioned tonight to pick up Costas... sooo yummy. It blows Olive Garden out of the water. Its very good Italian food and the bread it to dye for. I know Todd got a card for me because I asked and he smiled and said I "may" have gotten you something, but I don't want anything and don't give me a card. I may go get some chocolates for him though. He loves chocolate. I gave up sweets for lent, so that might be tempting, but oh well. I haven't been craving anything sweet, but I have been craving sushi. Very strange since we never have that.

We started packing last night. We figured we would go room by room. We are almost done packing up everything in the dining room. The next will be the bedroom closets. I have already packed up the cd's and dvds.

I'll write more later... hugs

What an eventful weekend

Well, the bigs news for the weekend is we got an offer on the house. The house was on the market exactly 7 days. We were very surprised, happy, nervous, etc. The bad news is, we close on March 11th. This means we have to pack everything up, find temporary housing, and then find our house. We are very excited, but this is a stressful time. We actually go over list price, so we were very pleased with that too.

We went to another birthday party last night. It was a lot of fun. Dylan had a blast riding the train they had. I literally didn't think I was going to get him off of it. I eventually had to tell him it was night night time for the train and he was ok with that answer. He said bye bye train when we left. It was pretty cute.

Today is a lazy day... well, maybe not. We plan on packing up things we don't use. I hate packing, but I know it has to get done. I have two storage/moving companies coming out on Monday for estimates, so we will see. I sure hope its not as expensive as it was when we moved down here... YIKES.

Have a great weekend.

Dance Party USA

On Saturday we went to Rachel's 2nd birthday party and had a blast. It was fun getting Dylan all dressed up. He enjoyed looking at his new look in the mirror, can you tell?

Look at me daddy... I have hair just like you now

All the kids played very well together. The theme was dance party, so we dressed Dylan up as a Grease Lightening guy. We spiked his hair, which he loved, and he wore a white t-shirt, jeans and a jean jacket. Oh yeah, he had two tatoos on too, Mator and Lightening McQueen.
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Rachel, Happy Birthday to you.

He was so excited to eat "happy cake." He ended up getting frosting all over his shirt so we put him in his jammies. He was busting a move in them. They all wore their shades and their beads. Pretty darn cute.

Dig in there guys... the Dora cake was soooo yummy.

The next morning, Dylan said Dance Party and was partying like a rock start again.

I took him to the daycare today and he wanted to wear his jean jacket, so I said ok. Then he said hair... He wanted me to spike his hair. It looked pretty cute. I doubt if it stayed though. We had to gel it and then put hairspray in it on Saturday for it to hold.

Dance Party USA...
