Family visit

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger lately. There just isn't enough time in the day.

Curt, Angie and Carter came to visit and we had a BLAST! We met them in Atlanta and hung out at the hotel the first night. We went swimming and the kids really enjoyed it. The next day, Angie attended a PA conference and we ate breakfast and let the kids play. They had fun watching Einstein videos and pushing eachother around in their strollers. It was pretty fun watching them interact together. We picked Ang up around noon and headed to Birmingham. The ride went pretty fast. I guess it helped too talking to my friend Michele on the phone. The kids slept most of the way. I must have been talking a little loud because Carter woke up and he covered his ears. OOPS on aunt Traci. Anyway, we figured the kids were all rested, so we headed for the zoo. What a great time we had there. We had fun watching the monkeys, lions, elephants, birds, going on the train ride, eating ice cream and most of all playing in the water. It was such a hot day, so it felt great.

After the zoo, we were all tired and hungry and didn't feel like cooking, so we picked up some BBQ and had pork and ribs... so yummy.

On Sunday we went to Alabama Adventure Splash Down for some more water fun. The kids LOVED it. We all did too. We had so much fun in the kid section that we stayed there all day. It was fun watching Dylan and Carter go down the water slides. They gave hi five at the top and counted to three before going down. They really play off one another.

On Monday Todd had to work, so we just hung around the house. We planned on going to Chuck-E-Cheese, but Dylan took a very early nap and Carter shortly after. It was nice though catching up and talking with Ang and Curt though. Todd got off a little early and we decided to do an adult evening. We got a babysitter and we went to Botega for dinner. It was so much fun and the food was excellent. After dinner we went home and the kids were all sleeping so soundly in their beds. We played cards and enjoyed quality time together.

The trip went so fast and we enjoyed every bit of it. We have a picture of Carter on the fridge and Dylan is constantly pointed at it and saying Carter. It will be fun seeing them together again. Hopefully we will be back for a long weekend in September for Eric's wedding.

During the week, we started getting Dylan excited for more visitors... Both set of grandparents and Heather and Austin.

We are so excited to see Angie, Curt, and Carter. We will be meeting them in Atlanta and spending some time there and then heading back home. We plan on going ot the zoo and also the water park possibly. I'll be sure to post pictures...
