Christmas day pics... more to come plus video

We received so many nice presents this year. I think Dylan's favorite was his grocery cart and Todd and I gave each other bikes. Next year will be even better since we will be close to our families. That will be the best present we could ever ask for. Maybe we will have baby #2 then too. Keep your fingers crossed. For right now, we are very happy with the three of us though.

Christmas morning picture... mommy wake up and smile for the camera...

I'll send more of our pictures and the video soon.

Take it off Dylan...

Christmas 2007

This was a weird Christmas this year. It was just us, but we had a good time. Dylan opened up one present on Christmas Eve and it was from Jason and Amanda. Its one of the Vtech baby games and he loves it.

Did you notice the blue tape? YEAH, we painted on Christmas. Actually, I painted, but Todd helped me witht the area behind the tv. I'm too short to reach and the ladder didn't reach back there. Todd took care of Dylan and hung out with Robert. They enjoyed playing video games downstairs and watching the CAR movie again.

Smile guys...

Christmas parties

We had a very fun weekend. Friday was Todd's birthday- can you believe he is 35 now? We really didn't celebrate it because he had a drug rep meeting to go to, but we did manage to get a small cake and sing happy birthday to him. Dylan says happy cake, but you get the picture. He blew out his candles and I sure hope his wish comes true. Dylan is a big fan of birthday cake. Literally every night he says daddys cake.. please

On Saturday we went over to our friend Kelly and Jesse's house. Santa came through the neighborhood on a firetruck passing out candy. Poor little Jesse was hit in the head with the candy. Dylan said Santa bonk... so now, everything is Santa bonk followed by Jesse.

That night we went to a beautiful wedding. It was downtown and the bride looked like a princess. After the reception, we went over to our friend Jeff and Michaels house. Its been a few months since we have seen them. On the way there, all the lights in the area blew. Literally the sky turned green because a transformer blew. It was a very strange experience. It was great seeing our other friends Loredana and Daniel there too. I'm hoping we can all get together soon.

Thanks Jeff and Michael for the pictures...

Now for the crying pictures... which do I choose from?

Movies

Well, Dylan sat through and entire movie and liked it. His first one was CARS and he literally wanted to watch it over and over. The next were Ratatouille and Shrek the third.

I'm so amazed by what he knows. He remembered the names of some of the characters and by far his favorite is towmator from cars. He has his tatoo on his arm right now and its cute hearing him say (tooooo truck)... He is talking a lot now. We really noticed it after our trip back from Iowa.

One thing he is struggling with is his colors. He knows the names, but he isn't able to point out the correct colors yet. I'm wondering if he is going to be color blind like his uncles Jason and Curt. That comes from the mothers side right? Man oh man, another one of my bad traits. I think he is also double jointed and may have my weir 'ol pinkie.

Christmas time

We put up the Christmas tree tonight. We haven't decorated yet, but we rearranged the living room somewhat. I just love sitting in the dark and looking at the lighted tree.

War Eagle as they say....

Happy 31st birthday Angie

Happy birthday Angie. Thank you for letting us stay at your place on Saturday. Sorry we had to wake you up at 4am on your actual birthday and then forgot to say it until we got home. Sometimes, thats how it goes.

Todd and Troy are next. Their birthday is on the 14th.

Early Christmas

We did our Christmas exchange early this year since we were all back. It was nice doing it that way. It sure made the stress of Christmas shopping minimal. This year, during our shopping trip we managed to get our gifts bought and everyone liked them. The kids did a great job playing with their toys and keeping everything together.

Did you notice the toys Dylan and Kenna were playing with. It was pretty funny.

Now, I just need to get some things for Jason and Amanda. Any ideas??? I'm not sure what to get them yet. I also need to find some things for Dylan's teachers. Todd made a cool gift for our neighbor, but I can't share yet because they may be reading.

It snowed...

Kade, Kenna and Dylan sure had fun playing in grandpa and grandma's backyard. The following day they went sleigh riding. I would have loved to see it, but Todd said it was fun. Dylan kept calling the sled a boat. Cute huh?

Thanksgiving vacation... went so fast

We flew in town to Iowa on Turkey day and also Dylan's birthday. He did such a great job on the plane. When we landed in Chicago we saw the snow on the ground and he was in amazement. Todd's parents picked us up in Moline and Dylan gave his grandpa a hug and held his hand to the van. It was pretty cute.

My parents met us over at the Dolphins and we had a very nice thanksgiving meal. Todd's aunts, uncles and cousins came over too. That night we were looking at the ads trying to figure out what we were going to purchase and what the best deals were. Yeah, we were one of the crazy ones... we left the house at 3:45am. We all bought the items we wanted, so that was great. I got Todd a GPS for his birthday and a camera for me. Dylan got some pretty nice things too. One of my favorite purchaes was a CARS tent and sleeping bag. It came with a flashlight too, which Dylan seemed to like. During our shopping adventure, I ran into my friend Shelby. It was nice to see her, but it was during the busy shopping time. We planned on getting together over the break, but it didn't work out. Maybe sometime soon...

On Saturday we celebrated Dylan's birthday. We did a car theme and boy oh boy, did he get some nice gifts. He got some John Deere sippy cups, car cups, saucer, silverware, car dvd, car books, lightening mcqueen car, car tent, clothes, magnetic food, leap frog game, and more. He is 2 years old now and its so hard to believe. We brought in Happy Joes pizza and had a swim party. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. We played ping pong, went swimming, sat in the hot tub and ate. Dylan enjoyed going in the hot tub with his grandpa Dolphin.
