Our little Gavin is 10 months old today. He has been scooting around for a month, but I'm not actually sure if I can call it crawling. He can get to point a to point b, but just scoots. He is started to pull himself up on the furniture and likes to put everything in his mouth. We now need to baby proof everything and especially be sure all of Dylan's little toys are picked up.

Carter and Avery's birthday party
Last weekend we celebrated Carter and Avery's birthday. Carter will be turning 4 in September and Avery turned 2. Its so hard to believe how big they are getting. I honestly can't believe that Gavin's 1st birthday is right around the corner and a month later Dylan will turn 4. Anyway, the party was a blast. The weather turned out to be really nice too. The kids played outside and they enjoyed hitting the Dora pinata. They especially loved the candy too.

After that game, they played pin the bracelet on Dora. That game cracked me up because the little ones didn't know what to think and they wanted to peak. The older kids spun around the number of years they were and that was pretty cute seeing how dizzy they could get. Angie's niece Audrey won the game. She was pretty happy. We enjoyed having her around too. She was Gavin's little babysitter the whole day. It was nice having my arms free for awhile =)

Keagan wasn't too thrilled getting his picture taken by the Dora poster. I just thought it was pretty funny.

The next day, our neighbors came over to see if Dylan and Gavin could do pudding paint. Well... of course. they loved it. It was a little messy, but that was ok. Poor Gavin just got pudding all over him. The kids would just plop it on his head. Of course Dylan did that to me too. Afterwards, Kim hosed them down. They have warm water hookups outside, so it was awesome for them. It literally was like taking a shower outside.

Random
On Friday, it was purple day, so the kids all dressed up. I looked for some UNI stuff, but didn't see anyting in their size yet. Every store we went to said in the next few weeks they will be in so... Gavin was a Viking fan and Dylan just had a simple purple shirt.

Gavin is getting around scooting. I don't consider it crawling yet, but he sure can get from point a to point b. Most of the time he is reaching for a ball or a toy.

Todd and I have been sanding down the kids swing set and getting ready to stain it. It was already there when we bought the house, but we wanted to update it. Since it was a nice day outside when we were doing all of that, we thought the kids would enjoy hanging out in the pool. Dylan wanted to go down the slide and drop in.

Birthday Party
crazy day at the daycare
Grasshoppers
Last night Dylan's blast ball team had picture night.

They all did a pretty good job listening to directions, hitting the ball and running to the base. Carter and Dylan did great at hitting, but they were more interested in picking flowers, tickling each other and doing other things in the out field. Denny/Maxine also came down for the game, so that was fun too.

Gavin and Avery were the mascots and cheerleaders. I just luv these pictures of Miss Thang...

and of little peanut...

We went to Happy Joes after the game and it was soooo yummy... Thank you grandma and grandpa for coming down. It sure made Dylan and Carters night.

Gavin is 9 months today
WOW.. I just realized that Gavin turned 9 months on the 27th.
He is in the 20-30th percentile for height and weight and 40th for head. He weighs 16 lbs, 1 ounce and is 27 inches long. Its so strange he is a "peanut" since he LOVES to eat, unlike his brother. This is a picture of him eating his first brownie.
He has had a popcicle, mashed potatoes, green beans, chicken, hamburger, spaghetti, watermuellen, eggs, and jello so far and has liked it all. Our doctor mentioned we could give him strawberries and also have his start drinking from a sippy cup too.
This past weekend was busy, busy, busy. We went back to DBQ again and visited a lot of my cousins and then over to the Dolphins where we hung out with Andi/Troy and family, Ang/Curt and family and Denny/Maxine.
Its always a lot of fun when we get together. On Saturday we had our Stoffel reunion. It was great seeing a lot our family who we have not seen in forever. There are so many new kiddos too. Seriously, I'll have do post some pictures of most of my cousins, the great grandkids, etc. Its a very big family.

These are some of the 1st cousins, but not all...
Later that afternoon we went swimming and had the best ribs ever!!!! That is my favorite. We had a campfire that evening and then on Sunday more swimming. The guys built a shed and they finished in record time.
We just lounged around. We didn't leave until late evening- 9 ish, but it was fun. We will be back over Labor day too.

This Saturday Dylan has a birthday party to go to. He is so in to "happy cake". This is a princess party for a girl in his class. I like meeting the parents. We don't know a lot of people here yet, so its fun for me too.
Tonight we have blastball. Todd is filling in for Curt coaching tonight and Wednesday. I'm sure hoping he gets there on time. As you all know, being on time is not a trait that either of us are good at... =0
