Happy Easter

Today was a little warmer than yesterday, but it was still on the chilly side- in the 50's. We made sure Dylan was bundled up when we did our Easter egg hunt. He really wasn't too interested in it though. He was more interested in the bubbles that the Easter bunny gave him, kicking/throwing his green ball, and also pushing around the stroller. Those activities always tire him out.

A first for Dylan...
He ate a deviled egg for the first time, but he didn't like it at all. He did discover the taste for jelly beans and chocolate covered eggs and loved them, go figure. We had to hide them by the end of the day because he was on the hunt for them. We figured he was already on a sugar rush, so we had to call it quits.

Flat Kristi

Todd has a new sidekick

Flat Kristi watched as we colored Easter eggs. Dylan helped put the stickers on the eggs, which was a lot of fun.

Flat Kristi "F.K." was feeling like a Dolphin and sat in the special chair

Sitting in Todd's chair at the office

Sitting in a bed of flowers

Reading up on the important gossip

Dylan felt very important carrying around his special friend

All of this has sure made me thirsty. I need a drink of water.

Todd's cousin asked us to help out her daughter Kristi's class and carry around a flat Kristi version of herself. We have had Kristi for a week and have brought her to different places in Birmingham.

Brrrr.... Its cold here

Today is cold for Alabama. It is 48 degrees right now and I think the high today is going to be 58. Tomorrows high is 50 and Sunday is 61. We are not used to that at all. So much for getting Dylan's pool out this weekend. We will still do our Easter egg hunt though and I'll share pictures and maybe video too if I can figure that out.

Dylan's daycare is closed today because of Good Friday, so he is here with me. He is pretty entertaining to say the least. I have his baby Einstein video on and he gets so excited. He goes from the living room, to the kitchen table to grab some cheerios, does a little dance, and the heads back to the living room.

Last night Dylan ate really good. Todd and I were amazed. Of course we had pizza, but he ate a whole slice. His other favorite thing now is hard carrots. We will continue to try new things and hopefully he gets better. We will keep you posted.

Have a nice weekend everyone...

Easter bunny visit

The daycare had a surprise visitor yesterday, the EASTER BUNNY! I guess Dylan didn't really know what to think of him. He did sit on his lap, but gave him a look that was like who r u? The younger kids all cried and would not even come close to him.

This weekend we will do an Easter egg hunt and if its nice outside, we will get the pool out. Todd thought Dylan might enjoy going through the sprinkler too. I'll be sure to post the pictures.

McWayne Center

Hey daddy look, its the McWayne center

On Sunday it was rainy outside, so we decided to go to the McWayne center. Its been a few years since Todd and I were there. Dylan really enjoyed all the fun science things and the play center. He liked putting the toys in the water and watching the balls pop up. They also had an area where he could just climb and climb. Luckily everything was padded, because Dylan did have a fall. He cried for just a bit and then went on exploring. Later in the afternoon we went to a mini show where they showed how to blow stuff up and Dylan loved watching the flames... uh oh, maybe we have a pyro on our hands.

On one level they had several aquariums of fish and Dylan loved putting his nose up to the glass and follow them around. Todd and him also did a weather report and that was fun to watch. We spent several hours there and could have stayed longer, but Dylan was getting tired. The poor little guy didn't take a nap at all and he was beyond tired.

I like to play with my water toys

He must be a mix of Stoffel because he always has his tongue sticking out.

I sure had a lot of fun. Lets do that again.

More flowers

Our Azalea's are now just blooming. I love the pretty pink color. The tulips are also up and some other mysterious flowers are starting to bloom. I need to rake out the leaves and it will look much nicer. Maybe this weekend we can do that.
