Welcome baby Avery

FINALLY... another girl in the family. Now Kenna has her first girl cousin

Congrats to Angie, Curt, and Carter. Baby Avery Elise was born on August 22nd. I have been told she is a great baby and is already sleeping a few hours each night. I can't wait to meet her.

Bad blogger

I have been such a bad blogger lately. I've been in Austin, TX the past three weeks and I just have not had any time to do anything. The weekends I was playing catch i.e. cleaning the house, doing laundry, and just having fun with Todd and Dylan. I "think" I'm done traveling for a little bit. The first of the year I will be traveling more though.

More pictures to come

We had a terrible storm on Friday night and my computer syinged... I got my replacement motem today, but I haven't replaced it yet. Maybe tomorrow... Once I have it working again, I'll post more pictures of the trip with Andi, Troy and kids. We had a blast and we miss them so much. We can't wait until Thanksgiving!

Six Flags adventure

We had a great time at Six flags. The boys rode to Atlanta with Todd, Dylan and me and we played with their Nintendo DS. I realized that I'm not very good and Kade, who is 5, was much better than me.

We arrived at the park early and tried mapping out where we wanted to go. Todd, Troy, Andi and Keagan went on the Acrophobia first. This is roughly a 170 ft drop. Its a great ride. I watched Kenna, Kade and Dylan. I must say they were very very good. it gave me a taste of what it would be like to have more than one kid.

Andi, Keagan and me went on the Ninja. It was fun, but our heads were jerked around a lot. After that we decided to go on some little kid rides. We split up and Andi, Kenna, Dylan and me went into bugs bunny world. While in line for the trains, we had some excitement. First, we parked our strollers by the gate where everyone else had parked theirs. Andi just happened to look up and some lady started to take the double stroller they rented. She yelled out and said hey that is ours... Luckily she saw them or we would have been without a stroller. Then, as we were waiting in line, we saw some smoke. One of the rides caught on fire, so they evacuated the entire kiddy section.

Poor Dylan... He was excited to ride on the trains. So, we went and looked for something else they could do and found the haunted house. It was pretty cute. Dylan's eye were really big the entire time we were in there.

We met up with the guys after that and got something to eat and watched a show. Andi and Troy are experts at amusement parks. We had such a great time. The story of the day though was when the boys waited in line for the Goliath for almost 4 hours.

They all really wanted to ride it. I think they all agreed it was worth the wait even with the drama. I guess there was a group of kids budding in line and some women spoke up and it caused the park to temporarily close the ride down.

Visit

Andi, Troy, Keagan, Kade, and Kenna are getting ready to go to the McWayne center today. I wish I could go with them, but I have to work today. I know they will have a blast. I'll have to hear all about it when they get back.

Tonight we are going to play the bean bag game. The kids have wanted to do this the past two nights, but it was too dark outside. Dolphins vs Dolphins... I'll post pictures later.

Happy Belated Birthday Austin

We hope you had a great birthday. I'm glad we were able to celebrate early with you in Birmingham.

Right before the water park

Baseball game

We had so much fun at the baseball game last night. All the kids were soooo good. Keagan caught one of the balls they were giving away. We all enjoyed the 25 cent hot dogs too. I think Keagan had 3 of them.

At the end of the game, they let the kids run around the bases. Dylan had fun running around.

Our little monster...

His eye is looking much better, but it still is green, black, and yellow. We typically get stares when we are out and about and stopped to see how he got his shiner. We went to Wal-mart on Saturday and they gave him some stickers and a cookie. He sure liked that and said yummy when the clerk gave it to him.

Dylan likes playing with his new car from Grandma and Grandpa Stoffel. He is fascinated with the sounds and also how it rolls to him when he pushes down on the handle.

Water park or as Dylan would say "wa wa"

Well, we have decided that we LOVE the waterpark. We went with Angie and Curt for our first time and then we had to go with the rest of the family and show them what fun it was. My parents, who don't like water that much, had a blast too. I actually got my mom to go down a water slide with me too. Dylan had fun going down the slides and also going up and down the step with Grandma Dolphin.

Birthday wishes

Happy birthday to Maxine and me. We also celebrated Austin's birthday a month earlier too. We went to La Fiesta and had a blast. They have great food and yummy drinks. Austin and I were so surprised when the servers started to sing their birthday song and put sombraros over our heads. It was a lot of fun.

Black and Blue... OUCH

OUCH....
On Thursday night Dylan had an accident. I was heading down the driveway to grab the phone and Todd had just turned his back. Well, Dylan decided to be brave and walk down the brick steps on his own. Needless to say, he didn't make it. He tumbled down them. I heard a yell and immediately ran over there. Poor thing. His eye immediately turned black and blue and swelled. The next day it looked ever worse. Imagine how we felt going to the daycare... everyone asked what happened?...

Don't worry guys, I'm ok. I'm still a happy little guy.

Product Recalls

Keeping Dylan safe is a top priority for me which is why I love the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). I just discovered it, but thought I would share it with everyone.

The group is responsible for alerting consumers and their families about any products that might pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard or that can injure children.

They have a great Web site that breaks products down by categories and lets you search by year or product name. It is pretty nice. The best part of the site however are their email alerts. By clicking here you can sign up to receive an alert via email every time there is a recall issued by the CPSC. You can even tailor it, like I did, to only receive alerts regarding products for children.

new vehicle

Todd's lease is up on his Mercedes at the end of the month and he wants to get a truck. Hh has it narrowed down to the Ford F150 or the Dodge Ram. We are going to look at the one he picked out tonight. Who knows, we might have a new car tomorrow. I'll send pictures if we do.

Happy Belated Birthday Kade

Happy belated birthday Kade! Its amazing we got the card out in time and called him the day of his birthday, but I had to be late at something, go figure. I'm 2 days late wishing him birthday wishes on my blog.

Visitors coming to town

We are soooo excited Andi, Troy and family are coming down to visit us. We can't wait. Andi mentioned they would love to go to Six Flags, Zoo, and maybe the water park/amusement park here. Todd is going to try getting at least one of the days off. They are going to let us know what day they want to go to Atlanta and we can go from there.

I started showing pictures of everyone to Dylan so he would remember. If he does make strange, its typically just for a few days and then he is good to go. I'm sure he will LOVE hanging out with his cousins.
