New hot rod

Dylan just got his new set of wheels today. We will be putting the Diego bike together tonight and I'm sure he will just love it.

Dylan really seems to enjoy Drew and Laci's big wheels, so we plan on getting him one when we get to Iowa. The two that he seems to like are the hot wheels and the Diego one. Drew and Laci both have the Dora one. I'm shocked he didn't pick that one out.



We have been trying to pack, but we keep getting side tracked. I have Friday off, so I'm hoping we get a lot accomplished. Dylan's last day is on Friday and they are having a party for him. I'm bringing some happy face cupcakes to school. So sad... I'm sure I'll be crying.

Happy Belated Birthday Andi!!!

It was Andi's birthday on Saturday!!! It sounds like they were busy with baseball games, but they had a lot of fun. We are going to celebrate her kids birthday the beginning of June and we are excited. We can FINALLY go to more family functions.

Kite flying

It was a little windy on mothers day so I asked Dylan if he wanted to fly a kite. Of course he wanted to, so we got our Lightening McQueen kite out. Are you surprised it had to be a CAR character? Anyway, it was a lot of fun even though we didn't get the kite up for very long or even very high for that matter. I guess thats what I get for getting a dollar kite. I was just trying to save a few $$$$.

The under contract sign went up today!!! We have exactly 2 weeks left until we move. We are getting very excited. Both sets of parents went to the house and re-painted the dining room. We went with a chocolate brown color. They said it turned out really nice and it gives a warm feeling to the house. I think anything better than the "show stopper red" would have looked good. I can't believe we picked that color out. What were we thinking??

Happy Mothers Day to everyone

Just in case I don't get on the computer tomorrow, I wanted to wish everyone a very happy mothers day. We don't have any plans except for some packing. Maybe I'll be able to sleep in a bit though. That would be a nice treat!

Hudson's birthday party

Well today we went to another birthday party. It was a lot of fun. It was at the neighborhood park and Dylan loved being on Hudson's tractor. Of course, he loved the cupcakes and cake too. We can't get him to eat much, but he sure does love his sweets.








I think tonight we will go over to their house for a bonfire and eat smores. That kind of sounds good to me too =) I know Dylan will just have a blast. The other option is to go to the Barons baseball game with his friends Laci and Rachel.

Water Park

We went to Alabama Adventure this weekend and had a blast. Our biggest decision was deciding if it was warm enough to go or not. We finally decided it was in the 70's, sunny and it would be perfect to go. The water was a little cold, but we had a great time. We went with Dylan's friends and their parents; Jesse, Rachel, and Laci. Dylan really enjoyed the water and he loved the big ferris wheel. Yeah, mommy wasn't loving it because I have a fear of heights and also Todd kept spinning the wheel. Dylan and Todd were just looking around the park and pointing to the next thing they wanted to do. Poor Dylan, most of the rides he was too little for that he wanted to go on. He isn't quote 42 inches yet. Maybe next year... I'm wondering what the height limit is for the Adventureland rides. Andi would know...

We went to go see Elizabeth get ready for prom. This is her Senior year, so its her last one. Dylan thought she looked like a princess and said "whoa" when he saw her. Robert taught him how to say hot girls, so he was saying that all night. When the girls came over to him though he was really shy. The weather was so perfect and I'm sure they had a great evening. It sure brought back memories.

Did anyone watch American Idol last night? I think Paula was out of it. I just caught a little on you tube today.

Riding along on the tractor

Poor Robert... All day he was asking Todd if he could cut our lawn. Todd said after it rains you can. Well finally he gave in and said ok. The minute he got on the tractor, Dylan wanted a ride. So, he drove him around a little bit and then I told Dylan lets get your lawn mower and you can follow Robert. Well, as soon as Dylan got off and Robert started cutting it, it started to sprinkle. I told him he would have to stop and could work on it this week. I think this afternoon he is going to come by and cut the grass though. How funny is that?

Oh, the dining room... we thought a pretty red would look nice, but it doesn't really go with any of the other colors we went with. We are going to change out that color to a chocolate brown now. Sorry dad... he has been the one doing the majority of the painting.

lipstick mania...

Well, it turns out Dylan likes to get into lipstick. In the mornings we typically get ready and he sees me putting on makeup, so I guess he just assumed he should wear lipstick too =)

we heard the heartbeat... 162

I went in for all my testing yesterday and everything looked great. Then, the nurse said we can probably hear the heartbeat, well they couldn't... Of course, we were all a little alarmed, so they did an ultrasound and the baby was just fluttering away. Such an amazing thing to see. "its" heartbeat was at 162. I think Dylan was always in the 140's. Maybe its a girl, who knows. Its still to early to know yet.

Almost out of the first trimester

Maybe I'll start feeling better again. I just don't like the feeling of being tired so much and being nauseous.

Sale Pending...

Well, yesterday was a good day. We got two offers on the house. We accepted the one offer and have our inspection today. We hope everything goes smooth. We plan on closing the end of May.
